Type of Funding/Funding Restrictions: The majority of The Allstate Foundation’s funding supports national and local programs that fit within their two focus areas. 

The Allstate Foundation does not support: Individuals; Fundraising events; Sponsorships; Capital and endowment campaigns; Equipment purchase unless part of a community outreach program; Athletic events; Memorial grants; Athletic teams, bands and choirs; Organizations that advocate religious beliefs or restrict participation on the basis of religion; Groups or organizations that will re-grant the foundation's gift to other organizations or individuals; Scouting groups; Private elementary and secondary schools; Requests to support travel; Grant requests for production of audio, film or video; Multi-year pledge requests; and Non-domestic (international) causes.

Application Instructions: The Foundation accepts online LOI and proposals ONLY.  Application instructions are available on the website.  The 2013 grantmaking calendar has not yet been finalized.  The website will be updated in late December/early January.
