Mission/Giving Statement: The goal of The Mary Kay Foundation is to eliminate domestic violence. As a part of this effort, the Foundation makes grants to worthwhile organizations that aid survivors of domestic violence by operating emergency shelters.
Types of Funding/Funding Restrictions: Each year, the Foundation awards a grant to at least one women's domestic violence shelter in every state. Any remaining funds are distributed based on state population. The funds may be used for the operating budget of the organization, with the exception of travel.
Application Instructions: Grant applications and instructions are available online. Only applicants operating an emergency shelter (immediate overnight housing) for survivors of domestic violence are eligible for this grant.
Mission Statement/Giving Statement: The City of Albuquerque provides annual grant assistance through City general funds and entitlement funds received from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, as a part of its continuing objective to assist public service agencies, eligible constructions activities, affordable housing development, and emergency homeless shelters that serve low-income and moderate-income city residents.
