Mission/Giving Statement: YSA supports and motivates youth, educators, and service-learning coordinators by distributing more than $1 million dollars in mirco grants each year to help support youth-led service and service-learning initiatives.

Grantmaking Program Area Descriptions:

STEMester of Service: Funded by Learn and Serve America, a program of the Corporation for National and Community Service, this program incorporates YSA's semester-long service-learning framework to engage middle school educators and students in addressing critical environmental and disaster preparedness needs and connecting them to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) curricula.

Get Ur Good On Grants: Miley Cyrus is partnering with YSA to create this social network that brings together youth to support each other in their mission to do "good" in their communities.

State Farm Good Neighbor Service Learning Grants: State Farm is proud to team up with YSA to offer grants of up to $1,000 for youth-led service-learning initiatives. Eligible programs will engage youth in service-learning, and effective teaching and learning strategy that promotes student learning, academic achievement, workplace readiness, and healthy communities.

UnitedHealth HEROES Service-Learning Grants: The UnitedHealth HEROES program is a service-learning, health literacy initiative that awards grants to help youth, ages 5-25, create and implement local, hands-on programs to fight childhood obesity.
